Deen Castronovo is no longer drumming for Journey. Deen wants to make it clear that he's not doing interviews in hopes of "clearing" his name. Castronovo was sentenced to four years of supervised probation; he completed a 75-day inpatient treatment program at Hazelden; he is participating in a 12-step recovery program and has to undergo domestic violence counseling for 36 weeks. "Domestic violence is really a choice, and it is calculated,” he says. “The drugs and the alcohol exacerbated it immensely, but there’s no excuse for what I did. I deal with it every day, and it’s deeper than regret or remorse.” Journey will announce, later this month, who its new drummer is, as well as a major 2016 tour.
