Major Motley Crue Press Conference Set For Today

For nearly next to a year. In the name of Classic Rock. I've busted open the printed press. To share. What is. Versus. What isn't. Motley Crue has earned their fair share of radio ink stains. Today in a worldwide broadcast. The four guys that impounded LA's Sunset Strip in the 1980's. Rewriting the terms and conditions of the life and death of a Rock Star. Are without a doubt...calling it quits. Today has officially been dubbed Motley Crue's Day on 99.7 The Fox No Crue celebration is over. Until Nikki, Mick, Tommy and Vince whip from their shred of leather endless amounts of invitations. Not for the hotel hookers, backstage babes or roadies vowing to score deals in places we can't speak of. Motley Crue is forking out the cash to bring you to LA to live it like they did. Sure...there's gonna be a 72 city tour. They're coming to Charlotte. You're gonna tickets. But more importantly. In honor of Motley Cruse Day on 99.7 The Fox. We think Los Angeles, on Sunset, iconic venues, tatoo parlors and strip clubs...is where you need to be. Just listen for Nikki to say be caller number six.

Allman Brother Members Leaving Isn't A Story

In this age of the divorce rate standing at 52% and Charlotte native Rick Flair accepting money to motivate the San Francisco 49er's... Why would I wait two days to talk about a couple of members unexpectedly walking away from their well written history with The Allman Brothers? Because it wasn't a story until someone finally asked, "What's next?" Wait! Not even that is a story. While RollingStone and other musical rags waste ink thinking about the continuation of the south's most famous band. The industry doesn't seem to be bothered and nor should fans. Bruce Springsteen proved last year that a slight departure from Little Stevie Van Zandt could easily be handled by inviting Tom Morrello to leap into their ranks... and because of Tom's love for the Boss's deepest roots... Springsteen's new collection of songs are actually pieces of rhythms and beats that have always been there. Tom Morello has helped to modernize it. So...what's going to happen to the Allman Brother's band now that two of its key members have elected to flee? I'd love to see the line of musicians waiting at the door that have spent an entire life patiently waiting for the opportunity to jam with Greg and company. The real story isn't a potential breakup. The real story is how Greg Allman isn't pulling his tour bus over to fix a flat tire.

The Movie Part Of Greg Allman Announced

And the winner is? William Hurt! That's the actor Hollywood has chosen to play the aged and finely tuned Gregg Allman in the upcoming movie Midnight Rider. Which is based Greg's memoir ‘My Cross to Bear.’ ‘Midnight Rider’ digs into the early days of the Allman’s. And won't be the typical flick that barely beats with the rhythm of truth. Greg says he’s got his hands on the script and has no problem throwing down a southern veto. Production begins in Savannah next month. __________ You know this song. But did you know...its not that version that's stuffing $2,000 a day into Stings pocket. Thanks to P Diddy Puff Daddy not getting permission to use the song in 1997. The copyright penalty is $730,000 a year.

Black Sabbath Signs With Chuck Tailor Tennis Shoes

Black Sabbath to get their own brand of Chuck Taylors. And what's the true story behind Van Halen's 5150 Studio? Classic Rock is an attitude. To live it. You've gotta dress like it. Black Sabbath has agreed to create with Converse. Introducing a fresh new line of Chuck Taylor All Star tennis shoes dedicated 100% to Ozzy Osborne and company. The Black Sabbath Collection. Four styles. Each representing different albums. The bands logo proudly sewn into the tongue of those infamous high tops. The Sabbath Chucks are 60 bucks and roaring like a concert crowd at Journeys and online ______ Whoa... check this out. Van Halen's infamous 5150 recording Studio. Has some raw untame Hollywood drama history. As much as fans of classic rock wanna dub the studios that place where Eddie, Alex, Michael and Dave pasted together the tracks that made 1984. Eddie admits it goes a little deeper. The creation of 5150 was due to his passion of playing music at 5am only to hear his wife Valerie B in the background screaming at him to stop playing the same song over and over.
