Allman Brother Members Leaving Isn't A Story

In this age of the divorce rate standing at 52% and Charlotte native Rick Flair accepting money to motivate the San Francisco 49er's... Why would I wait two days to talk about a couple of members unexpectedly walking away from their well written history with The Allman Brothers? Because it wasn't a story until someone finally asked, "What's next?" Wait! Not even that is a story. While RollingStone and other musical rags waste ink thinking about the continuation of the south's most famous band. The industry doesn't seem to be bothered and nor should fans. Bruce Springsteen proved last year that a slight departure from Little Stevie Van Zandt could easily be handled by inviting Tom Morrello to leap into their ranks... and because of Tom's love for the Boss's deepest roots... Springsteen's new collection of songs are actually pieces of rhythms and beats that have always been there. Tom Morello has helped to modernize it. So...what's going to happen to the Allman Brother's band now that two of its key members have elected to flee? I'd love to see the line of musicians waiting at the door that have spent an entire life patiently waiting for the opportunity to jam with Greg and company. The real story isn't a potential breakup. The real story is how Greg Allman isn't pulling his tour bus over to fix a flat tire.
