Since the first time I stumbled across Heart while scanning hundreds of long distant radio stations on both coasts and Canada, my mid-1976 was spent locating everything old, new and soon to be Heart...the story has always been Anne Wilson is the American version of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant. How true that proved to be last night when the rest of the world fell witness to the sister duo performing Stairway To Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors... With Jason Bonham, the son of Zep's late, original drummer John Bonham, manning the skins, the Wilson sisters cranked out the classic alongside a small orchestra and choir that had Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones nodding in approval, not to mention some minor head banging from President Obama right before the solo kicked in.
