The Doors at 50

Robby Krieger of the Doors letting fans know that next year the 50th anniversary of the band will not go unnoticed.In the meantime, Krieger is doing solo shows and promoting the soon-to-released DVD documentary Turn It Up! He's one of several famed guitarists -- along with Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Nancy Wilson, Slash, Steve Lukather and the late Les Paul and B.B. King -- who help tell the story of the development of the electric guitar and how it became the backbone of rock and roll. Robby says he first became friends with the film's director Robert Radler when he worked on several Doors videos.
