The Who Back On The Tour Bus

Fleetwood Mac Parks Their Tour Bus

New Music From U2 And Boston

Boston releases their new cd next month and U2's newest song has made an appearance in the movie trailer for ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom,’ The new U2 song is called ‘Ordinary Love.’ Designed especially for the movie. Critics say it serves as a fittingly inspirational musical backdrop for a remarkable true story. But... that's all we're gonna get from U2 For the moment. Bassist Adam Clayton says the wait is almost over. “We’re trying to get these 12 songs absolutely right and get them finished by the end of November."

Fans of Classic Rock were pretty much jacked the moment David Lee Roth returned to Van Halen. Will those same fans support the front man when he releases a greatest hits collection? Classic Rock Report: Alice Cooper On Broadway And New Boston

Listen to the report Here's one the critics couldn't predict. Alice Cooper on Broadway. Playing the part of a Green Goblin in ‘Spider-Man. The very musical that features tunes written by U2's Bono and the Edge. Cooper will get paid $150,000 a week. Here's the freaky part. Not only does the group Boston have a new CD coming this December. But keeping those infectious harmonies alive will be Brad Delp. Modern day technology performing magic tricks on your heart and soul. As for newer material written after Brad's passing? Holding down the front vocal fort will be Charlotte's very own Tommy DeCarlo. A new collection of songs that feature Mick Jones from Foreigner, Robby Kreiger of the Doors, Edger Winter, Rick Wakeman of Yes and Steve Vai. That's some seriously out of control Classic Rock. The frontman of this band? William Shatner. Captain Kirk. The album is called: A match made, if not in heaven, then in the most glorious reaches of the galaxy. Produced by the Carolina's very own Ben Fold. Shatner recently told RollingStone Magazine that he's always dreamed of being where progressive rock ends and country music begins.” The album hits I Heart Radio this Tuesday. Shatner's tour begins Oct. 23.

The Motor City Madman. Ted Nugent. Hasn't released new music for nearly six years. His current CD/DVD ‘Ultralive Ballisticrock.’ Has influenced the free spirited political hell raiser to put down his verbal oppositions and pick up a writing instrument. The new box set features the song, ‘I Still Believe’ What Ted Nugent truly believes is what he released two days ago. He's headed back into the studio in February or March to pound from the ground real, American, rhythm and blues, hard driven rock ‘n’ roll blasting with killer licks and riffs. Perfect for a powerhouse of fans craving music." As for what makes it an instant? Ted says, "My writing process at this point resembles “a really good s—,” because “my plumbing processes work really purely. It’s a pure plumbing system. And so my musical plumbing, whether it’s mental or just spiritual, and God knows physical, I live life so to the fullest, that by being clean and sober, it makes my radar, my life’s radar work perfectly. And I mean, it really does. I just don’t miss nothin’.”
Speaking of new music. The former bass guitarist of Nirvana. Krist Novoselic. Has joined the ranks of a rocker indie group called Modest Mouse. He says, "I've got my big Gibson bass and a Rat distortion pedal." Which is his way of saying, "You better tape down the rearview mirror"

Classic Rock Report: Paul Stanley's Rocking Autobiography And Its Good To Be Badfinger

Just because the government has stopped. Doesn't mean Paul Stanley is riding the same train. The frontman of KISS is living up to his promise to the people. An autobiography by Spring 2014.
